Bio

    Born and raised in Beijing, JJ (Jia Ji) is a vibrant illustrator whose multicultural upbringing and unconventional life experiences inform her creative vision. Drawing inspiration from the rhythms of daily life, she translates keen observations into dynamic compositions that celebrate the beauty of the ordinary.

    After spending two transformative years living a vanlife in the scenic city of Dali, Yunnan, JJ honed her skills as a street artist, busking with her signature watercolor, gouache, and colored pencil illustrations. Now a sophomore illustration major at the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), she continues to blend traditional and digital techniques, bringing a unique multicultural lens to her portfolio of animated sequences and editorial work.

   As a bilingual artist fluent in Chinese and English, JJ's distinctive color sensibility and storytelling flair shine through, reflecting the wanderlust spirit she cultivated during her former travels.
